Mahindra Holidays to set up seven resorts in Gujarat

Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India today announced the setting up of seven new club Mahindra resorts in Gujarat at an estimated cost of Rs210 crore.
The leisure hospitality provider said that it has signed an MOU with the Gujarat government on the sidelines of the vibrant Gujarat initiative.
The company will establish 600 units across these seven locations, which will generate over 1,200 jobs in the state. The resorts will be set up in Saputhara, Polo Forest, Shivrajpur, Madhavpur, Suvali Beach, Nalsarovar, and Jamboghoda.
Gujarat is a growing tourist hub attracting almost 1.65 crore visitors and tourists annually, the company said in a statement. Furthermore, it said that Gujaratis form a large part of the membership of Club Mahindra and development of resorts in Gujarat will be well received by them.
Mahindra Holidays & Resorts offers quality family holidays primarily through vacation ownership memberships. As on March 2010, the company had 109,884 members and operates 33 resorts across India and Thailand.
