Mauj Mobile partners music labels to enhance content

Mauj Mobile, content and mobile marketing services provider, today announced its partnership with India's major music labels like Inreco, Hindusthan, Manorama Music, JS Audio, Vani and Audio Tracs, in a bid to improve its positioning in the music and mobile content segments.
The combined consortium of music labels hold a significant market share of catalogue music and movie content across Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi, Marathi and Bengali speaking markets.
Badri Sanjeevi, chief operations officer, Mauj Mobile, says, ''Mauj has always been a regional content specialist and this deal re-confirms Mauj's forte and understanding of the content of this region in particular.
With this initiative, we are looking forward to leveraging our niche experience in the southern markets as regional content has very significant revenue potential for both Mauj and for telecom operators.''
Mauj Mobile will distribute a mixture of interactive content of films in the form of ringtones, graphics, video vlips, CRBTS, themes, animations as well as colour logos from a repository of approximately 15,000 tracks.
The three year deal gives Mauj exclusive rights to distribute content over all mobile channels.
