Muthoot Group to sponsor IPL team Delhi Daredevils

The Muthoot Group has signed on as the main sponsor for the Indian Premiere League team, Delhi Daredevils, owned by GMR Sports. The deal was helped through by sports marketing company, Creatigies Communications.
The fourth edition of IPL is due to start on 8 April. For its earlier editions, the Delhi team was associated with the two-wheeler company, Hero-Honda as its main sponsor.
''The IPL is the biggest sporting spectacle in India, and has got bigger and better each year. Last year, The Muthoot Group was associated with Delhi Daredevils, and we are happy to continue this partnership for the coming years, too,'' said Alexander George Muthoot, director, The Muthoot Group.
The Muthoot Group is a diversified conglomerate established in the year 1887 by Ninan Mathai Muthoot at Kozhencherry, Kerala. The Group has grown from being a financial service provider to having a presence in multiple verticals like financial services, wealth management, media, IT, healthcare, housing and infrastructure, education and power among others.
GMR Sports is the subsidy of GMR Group, which is known for large infrastructure projects, including the T3 at the IGI airport in Delhi.
