Starcom announces advisory council for SSIMCAP 360

A few weeks ago, Starcom MediaVest Group and K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research had announced a partnership to launch SSIMCAP-360°, a first of its kind full time advanced programme in integrated marketing communications (IMC).
The intensive 10-month programme leading to a certificate in advanced integrated marketing communications is being offered at the Vidyavihar campus to graduates interested in IMC.
An advisory council has been announced for SSIMCAP 360, the integrated marketing communication programme.
The council comprises a cross section of renowned marketing communications and media experts from within India and abroad. Some of these names are Bhaskar Das (executive president, BCCL), Ashok Das (MD, Hansa Research), Rajesh Sawhney (CEO, Reliance Big Entertainment), Indrajit Gupta (editor, Forbes India), Sandeep Kaul (CEO-personal care, ITC Ltd), Bharat Kapadia (director, Lokmat Group), Girish Agrawal (director, Bhaskar Group), Karthi Marshan (CMO, Kotak), Kanika Mathur (President, Digitas), Shashidhar Nanjundaiah (executive editor and COO, ASAPP Media), LV Krishnan (CEO, TAM), Pushkar Sane (chief digital officer, Starcom MediaVest Group - Asia), Ravi Kiran (CEO, Starcom MediaVest Group - South Asia) and Bernard Bedon (Global HR Director, Starcom MediaVest Group). Suresh Ghai, director, KJ Somaiya Management Institute will also be a part of the council.
Starcom Mediavest Group said in a statement that these members will play the role of advisors to the course and will meet at least twice a year for half a day. They will also be responsible in giving directions on the future of the curriculum, approvals on the course input, correction in curriculum, early spotting of new trends in communication and marketing which can be included in the course.
This programme is a long term commitment to fostering talent and creating a talent force for the industry. The programme spread across three trimesters will include internal faculty of SIMSR, the leadership from SMG and industry stalwarts from a wide range of agencies and companies. Four toppers of the programme will receive a full refund of the fees as a scholarship, something never heard of in the field of education.
