Taiwan's Verico enters India with Snapdeal tie up to launch smartphones

Taiwan smartphone brand Verico Int'l has entered the Indian telecom market, the fastest-growing in the world, with the launch of its maiden product, the Uni Shape 5V3 smartphone.
The company has entered into an exclusive tie-up with India's online marketplace Snapdeal to sell the smartphone.
''India is an exciting market for Verico and we feel the timing is right to enter and leverage the explosive demand for smartphones, tablets and related accessories. Choosing the right platform and partner is key to business success,'' said Kuldip Sengar, CEO, Verico India.
''Therefore, to launch our maiden product, the UniSHAPE5V3 smartphone, we zeroed in on an exclusive tie up with Snapdeal, one of India's leading and well recognised e-commerce brands,'' he added.
The Uni SHAPE 5V3 phone is a dual SIM, 5-inch QHD screen, Android 4.2, Jelly Bean based smartphone. It sports a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera with flash, a 1GB RAM and a 4GB hard drive (expandable upto 64GB via a Micro SD slot).
The Uni SHAPE 5V3 features a 2100mAH removable Li-on battery.

The Verico Uni SHAPE5V3 is available in black color and priced at Rs8,999 MRP.
