Changes are happening at 20th Century Fox TV.
21 Jul 2009
Mark Pearson, senior VP brand management, will take over the Hollywood studio's marketing and research departments, while Chris Alexander, senior VP, corporate communications, will head 20th TV's publicity and talent relations departments.
In his new role, Alexander will oversee consumer and trade publicity campaigns, talent relations efforts and events.
Under the studio's previous management set up, marketing and publicity were combined in a single department headed by marketing senior VP Steven Melnick, with Pearson overseeing the studio's brand management.
Melnick will now focus on 20th TV's new media initiatives.
Mark Pearson came to 20th TV in 2005 from Universal Pictures, where he was VP franchise strategy.
Alexander joined 20th TV 2000 as a manager, moving up to VP and, most recently to senior VP in 2007. Before coming to 20th, Alexander played a key part in the launch of Noggin, MTV Networks' educational channel for kids, as its first director of communications.
Melnick joined 20th TV in 1996 and served as VP advertising and media relations, until his promotion to senior VP marketing in 2002.
