Deccan Chronicle hikes ad rates 20 per cent

Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd announced on Monday that it has increased advertisement tariffs across all editions of the Deccan Chronicle by 20 per cent, effective from 1 October.

The Chronicle is the largest selling paper in Hyderabad and Bangalore or Bengaluru.

The ad price hike comes on the back of increased sales in Bangalore.

The Audit Bureau of Circulation has certified a daily circulation of 2,44,902 copies in that city for the audit period January to June 2009, along with a total daily circulation of 13,49,959 copies across southern India during the period.

Stocks of the company rose after the announcement made to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
