Games and applications developer for social networking site, RockYou, has appointed Pune-based online publisher network,  iThink, as the exclusive media representatives for India and the Gulf region.

iThink Labs specialises in selling online media transactions for publishers and managing innovative campaigns for its clients globally. It manages media operations for global names Pepsico, Nissan Motors, Toyota and others.

India and GCC are fast-growing markets for social networking websites. As a result, more and more brands are looking to advertise on these sites in order to achieve high engagement with social media users.

RockYou provides advertising opportunities across various social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace, Orkut and hi5 through games and applications.  Some of its popular products are Zoo World and Birthday Cards on Facebook.

It serves more than 15 billion impressions per month globally and has inventory across more than 3,000 social applications.

The move is to tap the expanding market in India and GCC.
