26 Nov 2008
Media Transasia is bringing out a new design and interiors magazine 'Casaviva' in January 2009 under a licensing agreement with the Mondadori Group of Italy.
The magazine will be priced at Rs100 and is targeted at women in the 24-44 age group. Anubha Charan has been appointed editor for 'Casaviva' India.
The magazine focuses on high-end interiors and also on the home as the ultimate status symbol, providing inspirational ideas and cutting edge concepts from the design capital of the world. The content will be a rich mix of some of the world's most sumptuous interiors. 'Casaviva' is a B2C magazine that aims to create its own space and category and redefine the segment.
Piyush Sharma, CEO and publisher, Media Transasia India Ltd, said: ''Over the last three years, we have successfully bought five international titles - 'Blenders', 'Maxim', 'Travel & Leisure', 'Better Homes' and 'Child' - to India, each of which has captured their respective markets successfully. We have good reason to believe that 'Casaviva' would be a grand success.''
The Mondadori Group is Italy's leading magazine with more than 38 per cent market share, and it publishes 40 titles, some in joint ventures with leading international partners such as Gruner and Jahr, Hearst and Rodale Press.
