Tata Sky puts an end to undesired channels with TruChoice
11 Oct 2010
DTH service provider Tata Sky today introduced TruChoice, a customer friendly initiative that gives customers the option to view channels according to their taste, budget, and language or genre preferences.
Recent research has revealed that the one thing TV viewers resent is that they are forced to accept predefined bundles which include several unwanted channels, and then pay for content that they don't watch or often even understand, the company said in a statement.
TruChoice clubs channels of the same genre language together in one pack and gives subscribers the flexibility to choose the content they want to view and pay for.
The subscribers of TruChoice packaging will also get two regional language packs of their choice free for lifetime use.
"TruChoice is easy to understand and is flexible, allowing one to choose a group of channels based on preference. Now a South Indian doesnÂft have to waste his money on Punjabi channels and a family with no children in their home, need not pay for kids entertainment channels," said Vikram Kaushik, CEO and MD, Tata Sky Ltd.
Tata Sky Ltd, the JV between the TATA Group and STAR, offers subscribers over 193 channels and interactive services in DVD quality picture and CD quality sound.
