Vodafone UK in handset marketing pact with Nokia, HTC

Vodafone UK is now offering Nokia N8 and HTC Desire HD smartphones on its network.
The service provider will offer the handsets for free, the Nokia N8 at £30 for a two-year deal and HTC Desire HD at £35 for the same duration.
Nokia N8 will offer 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of Internet data, and will also be available exclusively in a green shade to Vodafone UK customers.
N8 features a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash, 16GB of in-built storage space and is the first smartphone to be based on the Symbian^3 software platform.
The HTC Desire HD smartphone will come bundled with 900 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of Internet data along with 5MB of European roaming data on an online purchase. For an offline purchase, only 600 minutes, unlimited text and 500MB data allowance is being offered by the carrier.
HTC Desire runs on Google's Android 2.2 operating system, features a 8-megapixel camera, 4.3-inch LCD touch-screen, 1GHz processor among other features.
