Hyundai ties up with ICC as its official car partner

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has tied up as the official car partner of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

As per the agreement, Hyundai will be the official car partner for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 besides ICC events including the Women's World Cup and the T20 championship.  The partnership with ICC extends till 2015, the company said.

Hyundai's fleet consisting of i10, Santa Fe, Verna Transform and Sonata Transform will be used to transport ICC officials, players and VIP guests during the World Cup.

''Hyundai shares ICC's deep-rooted passion for cricket and remains committed to supporting the game in the future as well,'' H W Park, managing director and CEO, HMIL said.

The company plans to hold events like the Hyundai fan park where customers can watch the matches live on large screen TV and other promotional activities for the ICC World Cup.

HMIL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea and markets seven models including the Santro, i10, i20, Accent, Verna Transform, Sonata Transform and Sanat Fe in India.
