Mauritius offers exclusive biofarming technology to India

Mauritius has offered transfer biofarming technology exclusively to India and also proposed cooperation in the health sector. Besides the two countries discussed cooperation in various areas in the MSME sector.
The first meeting of the joint committee for India-Mauritius cooperation in MSME sector, held today. Identified possible areas of cooperation, in line with the MoU signed between the two countries on 13 December 2015.
The meeting discussed cooperation in the areas of capacity building through training of trainers, surveys on potential areas, managerial and technical skills, marketing, exhibitions and trade fairs, exchange of business missions, setting up of business incubators, easy access to finance, clusters initiative, etc.
It was also agreed to formulate an action plan in the area of coir, khadi and handicraft sectors in addition to the above areas.
Kalraj Mishra, union minister for medium and small industries and Soomilduth Sunil Bholah, minister of business, enterprises and cooperatives, government of Mauritius chaired the joint committee meeting.
