CBI gains five-day window to grill Jagan

YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, accused of graft by the Central Bureau of Investigation, was today given five days in CBI custody so that the agency can grill him thoroughly.
He is already in judicial custody till 11 June.
The CBI had appealed to the Andhra Pradesh High Court for 10 days' custody. Justice B Chandra Kumar, who had reserved his orders Friday, granted five.
The judge also dismissed the petition of 'Jagan', as he is widely known, seeking to declare his arrest as illegal.
Justice Kumar ordered that the CBI can question Jagan from 3-7 June.
Jagan was arrested by the CBI on 27 May after three days of intense grilling. The next day the Special CBI Court in Hyderabad remanded him in judicial custody till 11 June.
