Rise in Delhi-NCR real estate prices accompanied by higher cost of living

Skyrocketing vegetable prices, have pushed the cost of living in Delhi and the NCR region, with the cost of eggs, fruits, fresh vegetableas and other daily essentials rising.
For instance, the retail cost of eggs have risen by by Re1 a piece in Delh and the NCR in the past 10 days.
Around 10 days ago, eggs were selling at Rs3 a piece, but are now at Rs4 in the National Capital Region (NCR), according to traders. The cost of eggs has risen sharply to Rs 45-50 a dozen in the NCR.
Wholesale egg prices in Delhi ruled at Rs3.05 apiece on Saturday up from Rs2.85 apiece 10 days back.
The rising cost has been attributed to soaring prices of onions and other vegetables, as also higher demand during the winter and festival season.
Rates of other agricultural produce like tomatoes, garlic, potatoes have also escalated in the NCR.
