The government today approved the setting up of the 'Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra' Trust, which would oversee the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, nearly three months after the Supreme Court ruling in the decades-old case.

The independent trust will take all decisions regarding construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while announcing the formation of the trust. He said the 15-member trust will have a Dalit and no political member.
“On the basis of the SC direction my government has today given approval to the proposal for creation of 'Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra' trust. The Trust will be free to take all decisions regarding creation of a magnificent RamTemple in Ayodhya ”, the PM said.
PM said that as directed by the Supreme Court, the central government has requested the Uttar Pradesh government to allocate 5 acres of land to the Sunni Waqf board for construction of a mosque and that the state government has acceded to the request.
“We all know the historical and spiritual significance that is attached to Lord Ram and Ayodhya, in the Indian ethos, spirit, ideals and culture.
“Keeping in mind the construction of the magnificent Ram Temple and the spirit of the devotees who would come to pay obeisance to Ram Lalla, in future the government has taken another important decision. It has decided that whole of the approximate 67.703 acre acquired land will be transferred to the Sri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra trust”, PM added.
The prime minister praised the maturity shown by the country in maintaining peace and harmony following the Supreme Court’s decision on the Ayodhya issue.
He reiterated the same in a separate tweet where he said, “the people of India displayed remarkable faith in democratic processes and procedures. I salute the 130 crore people of India”

All communities living in India are members of one big family
PM stated that we are all members of one family. This is the ethos of India. We want every Indian to be happy and healthy. Guided by ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ we are working for the welfare of every Indian.
The UP government has assigned 5 acre land for a construction of a mosque in Ayodhya, in line with the Supreme Court order. The land is in village Dhanipur in Ayodhya, on the Lucknow highway, around 18 km from the district headquarters and some 25 km away from the temple site.
Sources say the spot chosen by the UP government is located outside the “14 kosi parikrama", or an area of some 42 km around Ayodhya town that devotees converge during religious events. Saints had reportedly asked that the mosque site be assigned beyond the parikrama boundaries.
The Supreme Court had in November said in a landmark verdict that the ownership of the site claimed by both Hindus and Muslims was entirely with Ram Lalla or infant Lord Ram. The government was ordered to set up a trust to oversee the building of a Ram temple at the site where the Babri mosque was razed by Hindu activists, which they said, was built over an ancient temple that marked the birthplace of Ram.
