Kejriwal government fails to get any relief from the Delhi High Court

The Delhi government today failed to get any relief from the Delhi High Court in its row with Lt Governor Najeeb Jung over the appointment of the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) chief.
The court refused to implead ACB Chief M K Meena, appointed by Jung, as party in the Delhi government's plea.
Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's government had challenged the constitutional validity of Centre's 21 May 21 notification on the jurisdiction of the ACB.
The the Delhi High Court also refused to entertain the Delhi government's plea to restrain thye ACB Chie from entering his office.
It said that Meena will remain ACB chief and function in accordance with the law.
The court also issued notice to Centre and sought its response in two weeks.
The city government had questioned the appointment contending that there was no provision of Joint Commissioner level post in the ACB and hence the appointmentwas invalid.
