The home ministry has granted permission for opening of 3,000 CBSE-affiliated schools as assessment centres across India to evaluate CBSE Board exams answers sheets, minister for human resource development Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said on Friday.

He said that 3,000 CBSE-affiliated schools have been identified as assessment centers across India and special permission will be granted to these schools for the limited purpose of evaluation, adding that the permission will help to speed up evaluation of 15 million answer sheets.
Results will be declared after the remaining board examinations have been conducted (scheduled between 1 and 15 July 2020).
As per the new guidelines issued by the home ministry, all government offices are allowed to open in all the three zones - green, orange and red - (except in containment zones) and with some limited restrictions applicable to red zones.
The office memorandum said that while all schools continue to remain closed, these 3,000 schools and 16 regional offices across the country selected as evaluation centres will open for the limited purpose of work associated with evaluation of answer sheets.
As for transportation of answer sheets, to the residences of evaluators, the office memo said there is no restriction on the movement except in areas falling in the containment zone.
