L&T wins transportation infrastructure contract related to Navi Mumbai airport

Engineering and construction major Larson & Toubro Ltd has secured a major contract for development of integrated transportation infrastructure in town planning schemes under the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project.
The contract awarded to the Transportation Infrastructure vertical of L&T by airport developer City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited (Cidco) comprises development of 60 metre and 45 metre wide roads, besides construction of various major and minor structures and electrical works connected with these.
The project includes construction of 4 approach roads of 13.28 km having 9 major structures, including 3 steel bridges over Kalundre river and Mumbai-Pune Expressway, besides 12 minor bridges, 27 underpasses and approach roads to the bridges. The project also involves the construction of utility works and allied electrical works.
