KSRTC’s introduces Mercedes-Benz coach for intra-city travel

Mumbai-Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has joined four other government owned state transport undertakings to introduce Mercedes-Benz Luxury Coaches in their inter-city fleet of buses.
Yesterday R Ashok, minister for transport, food, civil supplies and consumer affairs, Karnataka, who is the chairman of KSRTC and Bangalore Municipal Transport Corporation and Gaurav Gupta, managing director, KSRTC, received the keys of the Mercedes-Benz Luxury Intercity two axle coaches in Bangalore from Dr Wilfried Aulbur, outgoing managing director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India.
Apart from Karnataka, Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC), Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC), Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) and Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) have been using Mercedes-Benz Luxury Coaches in their inter-city fleet of buses.

We are confident that KSRTC will also see value of the Mercedes-Benz bus in their fleet,'' said Dr Aulbur.
The Mercedes-Benz Buses offered to KSRTC are built on the Mercedes Chassis- 0 500 R 1830. These buses have been optimized to suit the needs of KSRTC.
