28-member EU agriculture delegation on 5-day visit

New Delhi: A 28-member delegation comprising industry representatives of Europe's agriculture and food-processing sectors to India has arrived on a 5-day mission to India to meet Indian business leaders and discuss issues related to trade and investment between the EU and India.
Mariann Fischer Boel, European Union's Agriculture and Rural Development Commissioner lead the delegation.
The visiting European delegation will also meet commerce and industry minister Kamal Nath, agriculture minister Sharad Pawar and food processing minister Subodh Kant Sahai.
According to EU's Ambassador in India Francisco da Camara Gomes, "The key objective of the commissioner's visit is to reinforce and highlight common areas of partnership and growth in the field of agriculture and food processing technology.
To commemorate the visit of the delegation, Fischer Boel and Sahai will jointly inaugurate the International Ahaar Food Fair starting in New Delhi on 8 March.
