Melbourne most liveable city: Global Liveability Survey

Melbourne in Australia has pipped Canada's Vancouver to the title of world's most liveable city for the first time in around a decade.
Vancouver, which has been the number 1 in the annual Global Liveability Survey since 2002, fell to the third spot behind Vienna.
Overall Australian and Canadian cities took seven of the top ten spots while Harare, Port Moresby and Dhaka came at the bottom of the table.
The cities were assessed on five criteria - stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.
Vancouver failed to make it to the top spot because periodic closures of a key motorway which hit its infrastructure score.
According to the survey the most livable cities ranked in the order were Melbourne, Vienna, Vancouver, Toronto,Calgary,Sydney, Helsinki, Perth, Adelaide, Auckland.
