52 trains running late, 12 rescheduled in fog-hit Delhi

Fog continued to encompass the Delhi National Capital Region amid a cold wave, with 52 trains delayed and 12 rescheduled till early this morning.
The India Meteorological Department had predicted shallow to moderate fog on Saturday morning and said that maximum and minimum temperatures in the city would respectively touch around 24 degrees and 8 degrees Celcius.
Thousands of passengers were left stranded at New Delhi Railway Station due to dense fog conditions in several parts of North India such as the cities of Moradabad and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.
On Thursday, 55 trains were delayed and 17 were cancelled in New Delhi, which left thousands of passengers stranded, due to dense fog in parts of North India.
