Marg enters railway wagon fabrication business with Braithwaite order

Diversified infrastructure company Marg EPC has further expanded its business portfolio with an order from Braithwaite & Co Ltd (BCL).
Marg, which operates the first corporatised seaport in the country, said its industrial projects division bagged the BCL order worth Rs37.66 crore.
The contract involves fabrication and assembly of 247 BTFLN wagon, including supply of components and consumables except raw steel, at BCL's workshop.
The BTFLN wagon is an improved frameless Bogie Tanker Wagon used primarily for transportation of liquid petroleum products as also vegetable oil and other liquid cargo, Marg said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The fabrication work should be complete in seven months, subject to availability of steel, wheel sets, dished ends, etc, which will be supplied by BCL.
BCL has provided spare capacity at its Victoria Works, in Kolkota for undertaking the contract work.
