Radio City signs a two-year contract with Mauj Mobile

FM service provider Radio City has signed a two-year deal with Mauj Mobile, the wireless subsidiary of People Group in a bid to provide its radio content on to the mobile platform.
According to the agreement, Mauj Mobile will have exclusive telecom rights to all contents of Radio City. In return Mauj Mobile will create and manage a website developed especially for the station's huge audience base spanning across India.
In addition, Radio City listeners will also be able to participate in contests and shows by sending keywords and messages to the Mauj Mobile shortcode
''As pioneers in the private FM arena, we believe that the core brand experience through this touch point can be greatly enhanced," said Radio City CEO, Apurva Purohit."To this effect, our association with Mauj will provide our listeners a direct and engaging Radio City experience allowing them seamless interactivity with the Radio City brand.''

People Infocom (Mauj Mobile) CEO Manoj Dawane noted, ''The deal brings together two extremely effective and promising communication mediums - the mobile phone and the radio. Considering the rising popularity of both these mediums in the market, we believe that the core brand experience at this access point will be further enhanced.''
