Reliance MediaWorks acquires UK’s film processing firm ilab

Reliance MediaWorks (RMW), part of the Anil Ambani controlled ADAG, has acquired the assets of London-based ilabs in order to expand its services in the front-end, processing, restoration, 2D to 3D conversion and post-production services to broadcasters and studios.
ilab, the UK's newest film processing laboratory and post production facility, located in the heart of London's Film and Post Production in the entertainment hub of Soho in the West end of London, is one of the two film processing facilities in London, and the lab of choice for high-end processing for film, TV and commercials.
RMW, which did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition had, through its UK subsidiary, already secured image processing and restoration work for two high profile projects from leading UK broadcaster at RMW's LA-based subsidiary Lowery Digital.
Commenting on this international expansion, Anil Arjun, CEO of RMW said, ''Through RMW UK we would provide next generation services for the local film makers and broadcasters, while also catering to Hollywood and Hindi film businesses.''

In the past year, ilabs has been the house of choice for film rushes for the majority of high-end film originated Drama Series for the BBC and offers bespoke, specialist rushes service round the clock for the commercials, feature and broadcast market.
