AZoi launches health tracker Wello

With the growing awareness of health and fitness among large sections of the population, keeping tabs on one's health parameters like blood pressure, blood sugar levels etc is gaining increasing acceptance.
To cater to such needs o AZoi Inc has launched a health monitoring tracker embedded within a mobile case that uses powerful sensors to measure several key vitals including heart rate, temperature, blood pressure, electrocardiography (ECG), blood oxygenation, lung functions and more with a high level of accuracy.
Wello, according to Zoi is the first device of the kind to allow users to measure and record their vitals from anywhere.
The company said in a release, ''You simply hold it for a few moments while hidden sensors take measurements and pass on gathered information to the Wello app. Not only do you get instantaneous results and key data about your health, but over time you'll see patterns that will help you take better care of yourself, said a company release.
But that is not all, it also connects with other health and fitness devices such as pedometers and sleep trackers to help identify the effects of different behavior patterns on the body.
Wello which works with both iPhone and Android smartphones, be clipped to an iPhone 4s, 5 and 5s. It needs to be used independently to work with an Android smartphone running KitKat. The Wello app needs to be installed for the device to work.
What users need to do is to simply hold it for a few moments while hidden sensors take measurements and pass on the gathered information to the Wello app.
Business Today quoted Hamish Patel, founder and CEO, Azoi Inc, as saying, Wello was not-so-small an engineering feat in microelectronics, nanosensors, imaging, data analytics and design, that the company hoped would make a big difference in helping the world become a healthier place.
He added, the company had effectively put health monitoring equipment, typically in large form factors, into a highly convenient and accessible mobile phone case.
Wello is priced at Rs12,350. Azoi has started accepting pre-bookings which would start shipping in August.
