Dainik Jagran continues at the top in second quarter: IRS 2010

The second quarter results of the Indian readership survey have sprung no surprises in terms of the top ten publications.

Dainik Jagran leads the dailies followed by Dainik Bhaskar, while Hindustan Times is the third highest read daily in the list.

Dainik Jagran despite the top spot has lost about 70,000 readers this quarter, taking its total readership to 5.42 crore from 5.43 crore.

The rest of the publications have strengthened their readership.

Second ranked, Dainik Bhaskar gained about three lakh readers, taking its total tally to 3.37 crore while Hindustan Times added 15 lakh readers, the highest this quarter taking its total readership count to 3.09 crore.

Fourth-ranked Amar Ujala added 2.62 readers while the Marathi daily, Lokmat retained its fifth spot by adding 3.8 lakh readers taking their total readership to 2.9 crore and 2.37 crore respectively.
