The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday continued its search operations at the Adarsh Housing Society office in Mumbai and the premises of the building's promoters.
The raids had started on Sunday, when the CBI swooped on R C Thakur and Kanhaiyalal Gidwani, who is also a former Congress member of the legislative council (MLC), former major-general M M Wangchu, who is president of the society, and Ramanand Tiwari, former principal secretary in the urban development department.
Both Thakur and Wangchu have been absconding since Sunday.
On Sunday, the CBI conducted raids in connection with the Adarsh Society scam.
The raids spanned seven cities across the country, including Patna, Nagpur, Pune and Mumbai. Two flats and an office of Gidwani and three houses of Thakur in Thane, Nagpur and Patna were raided.
After months of conducting a preliminary inquiry into the controversial Adarsh society scam, the CBI finally registered a first information report on Saturday against 13 people.
