Scotland to run tourist steam locomotives on select routes

Steam trains are about to return to Scotland's railways as part of a new bid to showcase the country's stunning scenery, Evening Edinburgh News reported.
According to new ScotRail operator Abellio, it was it was considering introducing tourist steam trains on several routes across Scotland.
The Dutch firm which would take over the franchise in April, is said to be looking at eight routes to revive the era of steam travel.
These include the one between Edinburgh and Inverness, running through Highland Perthshire and the Cairngorms and north to Dunrobin Castle in Sutherland.
It was also considering an Edinburgh to Aberdeen route.
