Adani Power to raise stake in Adani Power Maharashtra to 100 per cent

Adani Power Ltd proposes to acquire an additional 26 per cent in Adani Power Maharashtra Ltd, to raise its holding from the current 74 per cent to 100 per cent, subject to necessary permissions and approvals.
Adani Power Maharastra Limited (APML) is implementing a 3300 MW power project at Tiroda in Maharashtra.
The project is being implemented in two phases - Phase - 1 consisting of two 660 MW plants and Phase - 2 consisting of three 660 MW plants.
Besides, the project involves construction of transmission lines of 221 km from Tiroda to Warora involving 400 KV double circuit quad line and 765 KV lines.
Adani Power, a member of the $5-billion Adani Group, has corporate plans for capacity addition of 20,000 MW by 2020. At present, the company is involved in the execution of projects aggregating to 16,500 MW. The projects, under various stages of planning and execution, are planned for completion by 2014.
Adani Power is developing number of power projects along with dedicated transmission systems. The company has already commissioned its flagship project at Mundra. The project consists of three units of 330 MW each.
