IRDA draft norms for training institutes

Hyderabad: The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) proposes to issue instructions/guidelines for accreditation by the regulator.

The IRDA chairman, C.S. Rao, said these guidelines were applicable to all the institutes including in-house institutes of the insurance companies. The regulator has invited comments before these guidelines were finally issued.

All insurance companies and existing agents' training institutes are asked to send their comments/suggestions to the IRDA Member (Life), T.K. Banerjee, or e-mail at by August 18.
