Auto components maker Mahle to expand presence in India

German engine components manufacturer Mahle has announced the launch of its aftermarket programme for engine components in India.

With this programme, Mahle will extend its presence in India where it is already active in both the original equipment and aftermarket industries with filters (for automotive and industrial applications), camshafts and engine components for two- and three-wheelers.

With this new engine components programme, Mahle hopes to enhance its presence in India as a complete solution provider for its customers in India.

A wide product range will progressively be introduced within two years from the launch with wide variety of products starting with pistons, piston rings and cylinder liners which will be followed by valves, bearings, and related engine components.

Mahle is targetting sales of over Rs70 crore within five years.

Mahle Aftermarket has appointed India Pistons Limited as its sole distributor for the engine components ranging from passenger cars to on- road and off-road heavy duty vehicles and machinery.
