Auto industry to showcase `Brand India’ in China

Over 80 Indian companies will showcase the recent developments in Indian auto component industry in an auto parts exhibition in Beijing from 26 October to 28 October 2012, in an effort to build 'Brand India' in China.
The 'India Show', which will run concurrently with the 6th China International Auto parts Expo from 26-28 October 2012 in Beijing, will include exhibitors and senior government and business delegations apart from cultural performances and food festival.
The event is being organised jointly by the ministry of commerce and industry in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Embassy of India in Beijing.
The event is supported by the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), Auto Component Manufacturers' Association (ACMA) of India, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export for Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and Genertec, an official release said today.
''India Show'' in Beijing assumes greater significance in the context of enhanced economic and strategic cooperation between the two nations. The show will set the tone for strengthening bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The event, which is being organised during the ''Year of India-China Friendship and Cooperation", pledges to push the Sino-Indian strategic cooperative partnership to a new level.
As part of the 'India Show,' CII will be leading a high-powered 19-member CEOs/ business delegation led by S Gopalakrishnan, president designate of CII and executive co-chairman of Infosys Technologies Ltd, from 25-26 October 2012. During their visit, the delegation will call on senior Chinese government leaders and discuss new areas for collaboration for enhancing trade and investment between the two countries.
