Boeing subsidiary opens Asia`s largest aviation training centre in Singapore

Boeing subsidiary Alteon Training has inaugurated, what it calls, the largest aviation training centre in the Asia Pacific Region in Singapore.

Singapore accounts for one quarter of Asia's aerospace maintenance and repair market.

Alteon says the facility, Located near Changi airport, can train over 6,000 pilots, mechanics and flight attendants per year. There are seven full-flight simulators and an emergency evacuation chute for flight attendant training.

The tremendous growth potential of the industry in the region has led to a growing demand for specialised aerospace-related training. Aaerospace is one of the fastest growing industries.
