CBI summons Raja for questioning
20 Dec 2010
The Central Bureau of Investigation has summoned A Raja for questioning in connection with the 2G spectrum scam even as the former telecom minister said he was not afraid of the CBI and would cooperate with the investigation agency.
"I am not afraid of the CBI. I am a lawyer. As a lawyer, I will abide by the law. I will not evade the law," Raja told reporters in Chennai.
He dismissed reports that he had applied for anticipatory bail as "rubbish."
"I am not an accused and there is no question of my applying for an anticipatory bail."
Maintaining that he has been cooperating with the CBI in its probe, Raja said the CBI knew that he had been extending co-operation to it.
The CBI has sent a notice to Raja asking him to present himself for questioning in connection with the scam.
