Conde Nast's GQ coming to India later in the year
07 Apr 2008
Mumbai: Men's luxury magazine GQ is planning to add India to its list sometime later 2008, Conde Nast International has said in a statement.
Alex Kuruvilla, managing director at Conde Nast India sees a large void the men's luxury magazine space, and claims that there have been numerous requests from advertisers and readers to launch GQ in India. GQ is a 50-year old title that has 13 editions, and will cater to India's expanding luxury market, according to the statement.
Having tasted some success with its first title in India, Vogue India, which launched in September 2007, GQ plans to follow it up with the launch of Conde Nast's GQ, according to Jonathan Newhouse, chairman of Conde Nast International.
Other international men's magazines which have already come to India include Maxim, FHM and Men's Health.
