BEML is the fastest-growing construction company: NICMAR

Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has been ranked first amongst the fastest growing construction equipment companies in India according to a Construction World-NICMAR study. T N Chaturvedi, governor of Karnataka, presented the award to V R S Natarajan, chairman and managing director, at a function held in Bangalore coinciding with the EXCON-2005 exhibition. Last year BEML was ranked second by the Pune-based NICMAR in association with Construction World.
BEML was recently ranked 72nd by the Business India 'Super 100' Indian companies.
For FY 2005-06, BEML projects a business target of Rs2,200 crore. As of November the company's order book position stands at Rs2,150 crore with more expected before the end of the financial year.
