Philips launches new range of televisions

Philips today announced its new range of LEDs, LCDs and Ultra Slim Tvs. The new range consists of 15 models of LEDs, eight LCD models and five models of its Ultra Slim Tvs in various screen sizes.
The LED Tvs start at a price range of Rs26,500, LCDs starting at Rs16,499 and Philips' Ultraslim TVs start from Rs5,290.
Neeraj Sethi, chief operating officer, Philips televisions in India, PE Electronics Ltd, said, ''At Philips, we are committed to our goal of becoming the leading television brand by 2012 and are confident that the new range of televisions launched are a step in that direction.''
The new range of televisions are equipped with full HD screen, natural light 2 engine that reduces the power consumption, digital noise reduction, HDMI technology, digital dynamic audio system and USB ports.
LCD televisions are loaded with the digital dynamic hi-definition engine technology, which enhances colors and contrast by adopting a new generation chip to add crispness, clarity and detail to images, the company said in a statement.
Philips' flat panel TV range under the flagship model Cinema 21:9 Tv will be available soon in India, the company said.
PE Electronics Ltd is a new business unit that brings together two premium brands Philips (range of television products) and Electrolux (range of Home Appliances) that complement each other as a single entity under a unique brand licensee agreement.
