Gamers on iOS or Android need to wait to gain access to titles

Gamers on iOS or Android would need to wait to get access to the most anticipated titles with both companies ramping up their efforts to secure periods of exclusivity, according to reports.
According to The Wall Street Journal , both firms were offering high profile developers, incentives including prominent positions on the app stores as also marketing materials in order to get first dibs.
The report said the incentives-only ploy had already allowed Apple to win months of exclusive access to Plants vs Zombies 2 and Cut The Rope.
Now both Apple and Google were looking to intensify attempts as they realised the significance of the gaming sector within the app race.
According to commentators, the consumers would have to suffer frustrating delays when it came to the hottest titles, rather than the democratic all-in approach.
Meanwhile, even as Google Play Store offered 1.2 million apps on it now; a dizzying choice, yet most users, continued to stick with the apps that came preinstalled on their phone.
