GSM operators add 3.57 mn users in June

The GSM operators added 3.57 million subscribers in June, taking the total number of subscribers to 671.13 million as of 30 June, with Bharti Airtel topping the addition of new customers.
Among the nine GSM telcos, state-owned MTNL was the only company to lose subscribers during the month.
Bharti Airtel, the country's largest mobile operator, added the maximum of 1.26 million subscribers taking the total to 190.91 million as of June, according to the data compiled by GSM operators' body Cellular Operators' Association of India (COAI).

The Aditya Birla group telecom firm Idea Cellular added 1.21 million users during the month, the second most in user additions, taking its total to 124.97 million, ranking thirs with an 18.62 per cent market share.
Vodafone India added 347,025 users, increasing its total user base to 155.03 million. The Mumbai-based firm, a subsidiary of UK's Vodafone Group, had a 23.10 per cent market share.
Aircel added 611,958 users (total: 60.97 million), Uninor 295,941 (32.3 million), and Videocon added 132,816 (2.42 million) during the month.
However, MTNL lost 287,878 users during the month
