Hinduja arm to manage Systema operations in India

Hinduja Group firm Hinduja Global Solutions, a leading outsourcing solutions provider, has announced a strategic partnership with telecom service provider Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd for managing the latter's operations.
Under the partnership, Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd (HGSL) would manage the customer care operations of Sistema Shyam TeleServices' CDMA brand 'MTS', Hinduja Global Solutions' global human resources strategy executive vice president Patrick David told reporters.
Initially, HGSL's customer care center would cater to the prepaid customers of MTS both in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, he added.
"Currently we have around 98 agents on this project. However, we have planned to employ over 400 people during the next 24 months," he said.
HGSL currently had over 9,500 employees in the country, out of which 2,500 are at the Chennai facility.
''Initially we would be serving voice process and later we will add up with the data processing," David said, adding that the BPO business in India is bound to grow despite the meltdown.
The company currently serves BFSI, health care and telecom among other verticals, with BFSI sector contributing over 25 per cent of the company's revenue.
