Huawei to boost India B2B operations

According to sources Huawei Technologies has major plans to boost B2B operations in India. The Chinese telecom equipment maker would most likely shift its focus into communication systems to ascertain fresh growth opportunities outside telecom networks they say.
Huawei is said to believe that enterprise business had a great potential in the country and to magnify its enterprise operations, the Chinese manufacturer will increase its workforce by 400 in 2011. According to information Huawei, one of the world's leading telecom gear-makers has grossed a revenue of nearly Rs126,000 crore in 2010.
According to reports Huawei would be ready to invest approximately Rs9,000 crore in India to boost the enterprise businesses in addition to the Bangalore-based R&D facilities, over the next five years.
To further bolster its India expansion plans in India, the company would consider offering information and communication technology solutions for divisions such as transport, finance, telecom, energy and others.
According to a statement by an official from Huawei Technologies, the enterprise region of company would generate and estimated Rs18,000-crore revenues globally in 2011, out of which Rs450 crore would come from its India operations.
The Chinese major has also introduced its 'telepresence' solutions (in-office video conferencing facilities) in India. and is in negotiation with Indian telecom majors to initiate Single RAN technology based products.
