Mumbai: The Mondialogo International Symposium (sponsored by DaimlerChrysler in association with UNESCO) to be held at Barcelona, Spain, between September 17th and 20th will have a special Indian "Ambassador" — 17-year-old science student Divita Mathur representing team Aysya-Xavier (St. Xavier's Senior Secondary School, Jaipur) and teacher-coordinator Yogesh Bhatnagar.

The aim of the symposium is to encourage students between 15 and 18 years to form project groups and coordinate with partner schools from other continents. The event culminates at the International Mondialogo Symposium in Barcelona, Spain in September 2004, where two "Ambassadors" from each of the 25 committed partner teams with their teachers will meet the representatives of the partner schools and other participants.

Team Aysya-Xavier was formed with nine members from St. Xavier's Senior Secondary School, Jaipur comprising Divita Mathur, Kartik Gupta, Neeraj Soni, Himanshu Periwal, Prateek Pandya, Vasundhara Pareek, Rajat Raj, Anshuman Goswamy and Moonis Ahmed, under the guidance of their teacher-coordinator Yogesh Bhatnagar. The project emphasised the historical, cultural and local perspectives of Jaipur and Rajasthan. Their research project further highlighted the water management system of ancient Jaipur city.
