Nissan Motor India starts exports of new Magnite SUV to South Africa

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd on Tuesday said it has commenced exports of its sport utility vehicle (SUV) new Magnite in line with its announcement made while launching the model in October this year.
The first overseas market for the Made in India Magnite is South Africa.
Nissan Motor India gets its cars manufactured at the Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt Ltd (RNAIPL) a joint venture between France’s Renault and Japan’s Nissan Motor Company Ltd.
According to Nissan Motor India, over 2,700 units of New Magnite have been shipped from the Chennai port within a month after its international launch in India.
Nissan Motor India had launched the Magnite SUV in 2020 and has sold over 1.5 lakh units till date.
Owing to the demand for Magnite in the overseas markets, Nissan Motor India will expand its export footprint to over 65 markets including the left hand drive ones.
“The export of the New Nissan Magnite will further enhance India's position as an export hub and drive Nissan's growth in the AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania) region, exemplifying Nissan India ‘One Car, One World’ philosophy,” Frank Torres, Divisional Vice President-AMIEO Region Business Transformation & President-Nissan India Operations said.
Nissan Motor with its Global Alliance partner Renault has made an investment of $1.8 billion in the Indian economy facilitating over 70,000 direct and indirect employment and skilling opportunities.
