Konark offers digital publishing and distribution facility

Konark International is offering its electronic publishing services to South East Asian publishers, at a time when the publishing industry worldwide is witnessing a shift from print to digital media.

Konark International, an associate of Konark Publishers India, hopes channel the growing popularity of Indian writers to the growing market with, what the publisher says, the highest and simplest payout rate in the industry.

Konark currently distributes published content to leading online retail outlets such as Apple's iBookstore, Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble, Kobo and Sony Reader Store.

According to Konark, under ePublishing, the publisher gets to keep all their rights and keep 100 per cent of the revenue from the sale of the book, after the retail partners take their cut.

"We simply charge a flat fee up front for digitising, converting and distributing the e-book content globally to a eReading device and/or online store," the company said.

"Our intention is to remove the complexity associated with the administration and distribution of e-books. Our services are non-exclusive and can be cancelled at any time and our publishers are in complete control of their content at all times," it added.
