Micromax launches Canvas Fun A74 smartphone priced Rs7,749

Indian smartphone maker, Micromax has launched the Micromax Canvas Fun A74, a budget offering in India, powered by Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
The smartphone carries a price tag of Rs7,749. The device which has yet to be listed on the manufacturer's website, though it is available with online retailers Snapdeal and Infibeam.
The A74, which features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 720x1280, supports dual-sim functionality. It comes with a 1.3GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM. The phone has internal storage of 4GB and offers 32GB expansion via microSD card.
The new A74 smartphone has a 5MP camera with LED flash at the back, and a VGA front camera. The device comes with connectivity options including 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and microUSB 2.0. The handset is powered by a 1,500mAh battery with a talk time of five hours.
Micromax recently officially launched the Canvas Doodle 2 priced Rs19,990. The Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 comes with a 5.7-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The device features a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and sports a 12 MP auto-focus rear camera with a dual LED flash and a 5-MP front-facing camera.
The device offers 16GB non expandable internal storage. The Canvas Doodle 2 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The dual-SIM device (GSM+GSM) packs a 2600mAh battery that offers up to 8 hours of talk time.
