OnePlus One coming to India

OnePlus, the startup founded by former Oppo VP Pete Lau, has entered the Indian market, IBN Live reported. Named OnePlus One, the phone would be available for purchase in India from 2 December.
The phone, comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, and would be available exclusively on the e-commerce site Amazon in India.
Users need to have a OnePlus One invitation to buy the phone. Invitations could be earned by subscribing to the OnePlus newsletter, entering contests and events hosted by OnePlus for India or by Amazon.in.
People who had purchased the OnePlus One on Amazon.in could also send invites to prospective buyers.
Once one received the invite via e-mail, they would need to click the unique link to register it with OnePlus account and one could the make a purchase.
The OnePlus One features a 13 MP rear camera with a dual LED flash and a 5 MP front camera.
The phone weighs 162g and is 8.9mm thick. It is is powered by CyanogenMod 11S OS based on Android 4.4.
The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.5GHz Quad-core CPUs.
It has 3GB of RAM and comes in two colours - Silk White and Sandstone Black.
Meanwhile, Tech2 reported that while the OnePlus One was still to officially launch in India, there were strong indications that the price would be under Rs25,000.
The display comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and the same adaptive backlight technology that was seen in some Sharp displays and additionally the device was one of the few to have 3GB of RAM. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with a quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz with Adreno 330 GPU.
The phone does not come with a microSD card slot and it only comes in 16 or 64 GB on-board storage. For connectivity it offers: 4G LTE (region dependent), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC functionality. The battery rated at 3,100mAh is non-removable.
