Ruia Group acquires Germany’s automotive fasteners manufacturer Acument

The Rs5,000 crore industrial conglomerate, Ruia Group today announced that it has acquired German automotive fasteners manufacturer Acument GmH & Co KG from the bankrupt Acument Global Technologies, for an undisclosed sum.
This is the third acquisition for the Kolkata-based Pawan Ruia Group, in Germany and fourth in Europe within a span of three years. It had acquired Germany's Gumasol Rubber Tec GmBH, Draftex Automotive,GmBH and Schlegel Automotive Europe of the UK.
With more than 2,500 people employed globally, Acument produces a wide rage of high precision fasteners like long shafted bolts, hexagonal screws, nuts and forged parts for customers in more than 50 countries worldwide.
As one of the world's leading mechanical fastening producers, Acument has well-known brands such as Camcar, Flexalloy, Ring Screw and others.
Its customers are leading automotive companies like Ford, Daimler, General Motors and Volkswagen.
Acument has four production plants in Germany located in Neuss, Beckingen, Neuwied and Schorzberg, and a logistic centre in Koln.
