Shriram EPC bags Rs640-cr order, forms JV with Israeli firm

Shriram EPC has has tied up with Israel's ENER-T International Ltd to set up a 50 MW solar thermal power plant in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, for Abhijeet Projects.
The toal project value is Rs640 crore.
Abhijeet Power Limited, a part of the Abhijeet group, is currently developing three thermal power projects with a combined installed capacity of 2,671.6 MW in the states of Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Bihar.
ENER-T provides technology and engineering services for thermal solar projects with emphasis on engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance.
While ENERT-T will be a technology supplier for this project, it will also set up an equal joint venture with Shriram EPC. All contracts secured after the formation of the joint venture would be executed by the joint venture.
''The scope of work includes the design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing and commissioning for the entire project. The project is scheduled for completion in 20 months," Shriram EPC said in a filing with the stock exchanges.
